Ubuntu not dual booting

Hi all,

Problem Description:

I have just installed Ubuntu 22.04 alongside my Windows 10 install. Upon boot on the Ubuntu drive it is booting into what you see attached the grub screen :frowning:

I have so far tried bootrepair on recommended settings using the livecd and have had no luck.

I have a pastebin attached - Ubuntu Pastebin

I have attached a screenshot

What else can I try to get the dual boot working?

Thank you,

Lots of issues, mostly Windows related.
You have both BIOS/MBR & UEFI/gpt on drives. Best not to mix, but important not to mix on same drive if multiple drives.

You have Microsoft proprietary dynamic partitions SFS (MBR) or LDM(gpt) which prevents Linux from seeing drive. There is a read only driver available. No reason for dynamic partitions as old work around for the 4 partition limit with old MBR. Microsoft has required gpt (with UEFI) for vendor installed systems since 2012. Microsofts typical recommendation is total backup, redo partitions & restore data. Some third party Windows tools may convert drive.

Dynamic disks have been deprecated from Windows and are no longer recommended.

Do not know if free versions still available & they still do conversion.
EASEUS or Aoemi

Report says system does not support UEFI Secure Boot, but does boot in UEFI mode. Are all drives same performance. I might backup one drive, erase it, make it gpt and add both ESP (FAT32) for UEFI boot and bios_grub(1MB unformatted with bios_grub flag) for BIOS boot, so you can install either way. Or change later.

How you boot install media UEFI or BIOS is then how it installs & boots. You manually select boot mode from UEFI/BIOS one time boot key, but settings in UEFI determine default boot mode of installed system.
