Ubuntu Version:
24.04.3
Hello everyone!
I’m very new to this forum and after looking through previous topics I decided to ask my question and see if anyone can possibly help.
my company has around 100 or so physical ubuntu machines and we use MAAS.
we are encountering this issue where the IP for APC PDU of the machines changes randomly. the last digit randomly changes and bc of that it switches the machine to a different port. this makes it so that people cannot SSH into their machines as connection times out and the machine cannot be pinged either.
as of right now, we just go on MAAs and manually change it back to what it should be when users tell us that they are having trouble with their machines.
I’m still fairly new to this but other members of my team have tried to find the reason behind this and so far we don’t have a fix for it.
I saw that this is possibly a glitch from MAAS and if that is the case, is there any workaround?
appreciate your help!
Let me know if any additional information is needed, thanks!
Note: this has been an ongoing issue and ubuntu and Maas updates didn’t help.
