The FOSSASIA Summit is an annual event that has been at the forefront of open technologies for over 15 years, bringing together a global community of developers, innovators, enterprises, and educators. Since its founding in 2009, the summit has evolved into a crucial platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the free and open source software (FOSS) ecosystem.
The 2025 edition, set to take place in Bangkok, will be a 3-day hybrid event offering both in-person and online experiences. Building on the success of the 2024 summit in Hanoi, which drew over 5,000 participants, the event offers an opportunity to explore cutting-edge developments in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Web3, Robotics, Hardware and more. It will also serve as a critical forum for enterprises seeking flexible, sustainable open-source solutions while playing a key role in integrating open source into education, preparing the next generation of the tech workforce.

FOSSASIA Summit 2025 this year will be happening in Bangkok, Thailand this year. Just like last year, there will be a number of Ubuntu community members attending the event to connect with open source enthusiasts and find new ways to make Ubuntu available to the widest possible audience.
This year, We got Ubuntu + Snapcrafters booth confirmed. It will be a good place to connect with people closely and also to outreach LoCo in Thailand and nearby regions. We’ll be also promoting Ubuntu, Snap (and Snapcrafters community) as well as UbuCon Asia 2025 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
