Great news for Graviton users!
Starting with Ubuntu 26.04 Resolute Raccoon, Ubuntu ARM64 packages will move from ports.ubuntu.com directly to the official archive. This means packages will be automatically mirrored across all AWS regions, which translates to lower latency, faster downloads, and improved reliability for ARM64 workloads on AWS.
This change will also be backported to 24.04 LTS, with older releases still under evaluation.
