My name’s Yuri, and I’m neither a developer nor a contributor… so what am I doing here?
I’ve been using Ubuntu and its flavors (especially Xubuntu) sporadically since Lucid. I don’t have any preferred operating system and I’m used to jumping between Windows, macOS, and various Linux distros throughout the day.
Never thought I’d join any Linux community. What pushed me to do so is my impulse purchase of an Arm64 Windows laptop last year—and the fact that Ubuntu is just about to become usable for daily-driving. I feel there are few laptops like mine in global circulation, so maybe I can help by sending some bug reports and sharing my experience on the Architectures category.
I think that the current Arm switch is one of the most interesting shifts in the PC industry in a long while, and I’m excited to watch Ubuntu grow in this regard.
