A post was split to a new topic: Temperature Unit Settings
Hi there, I had submitted the info you request as a reply but it seems to have auto deleted/missing since I last posted it. Is there a better way to provide this information to you?
I tried the latest daily build and still run into to the same issue after clearing the TPMs for both the intel and amd laptops.

I used to use Gpaste but has been unmaintained according to the big list of open issues GitHub · Where software is built.
That is why a lot of people transitioned to https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/4839/clipboard-history/.
Also, the idea is that it is by default available, no need to setup or install anything.
It would be nice if there were some downloadable software or tool which people could run before the next version becomes available, to test that things will work as expected. This would go a LONG way to helping reduce frustration on both users and developers sides. Just a quick inventory thing, to flag any possible problem areas. Just a thought.
I’m running Ubuntu questing (or what will be Ubuntu 25.10 when released) and replying here on that system, so we have dailies, snapshots and more we can download & run live or actually install and use for testing purposes.
A quick look at the ISO QA Tracker (https://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/) will give some clues as to what is available there for testing; you’ll see the latest daily listed, as well as the older snapshot ISO(s), and more (eg. noble or 24.04 ISOs are still produced, with 24.04.4 the next scheduled release).
Friends, I tested the latest daily build, and they still don’t have Landscape and authd integration.
Please let me know, will this integration be ready for the official release of 25.10?
We will soon be planning the IT budget for next year, and in order to be allowed to purchase Ubuntu Pro/Landscape,
We need to test and present a demo to our management at least for 25.10.
Indeed, there has been some issues on discourse during August from what I know. Please file a bug on launchpad against the snapd project here.
Should be noted for Intel move for Intel Media Stack
Intel Media Driver GitHub - intel/media-driver: Intel Graphics Media Driver to support hardware decode, encode and video processing.
Intel VAAPI Driver archived: GitHub - intel/intel-vaapi-driver: VA-API user mode driver for Intel GEN Graphics family
there is also Intel wiki for Chrome, but not maintained… Also there is discontinuation of Intel Media SDK, but there is guc and huc wide support… with explanation settings in consumer projects like Jellyfin
Has there been a decision mode on this yet? Or is it being pushed to 26.04?
Hello Brave, Steam, Chromium - Not Working
Welcome, @radzislaw-krzyzaniak .
As those are all snaps, you need to seek help from the developers of the individual snaps. For help with snaps, go to https://forum.snapcraft.io in most cases.
Do note that, while snap is a product of Canonical, it is not a project of Ubuntu.
On other versions of Ubuntu, they work without any problems
Hello, I’ve wanted to say that this New Ubuntu version is shaping up very well, I’m really happy you are shipping the latest 580 NVIDIA driver, as in the past not having the latest NVIDIA driver was an issue on Ubuntu, so keep up the good work!
I’m also really happy to see the latest kernel version!
And I also really like the new wallpaper and the new Icon for the terminal in the Yaru icons pack, I also like that the new terminal has a purple color, it fits really well with the Ubuntu color theme and wallpaper, and I also like the new animation for the spinning wheel, it looks more modern and beautiful.
I’ve been testing the daily build from today after installing it on my system, and I’ve encountered two bugs that I’ve reported:
I’m really happy with how this version of Ubuntu is shaping up.
Mission Center is my favorite, because IMO it looks more polished and modern, but they are both very good.
Also, hopefully Showtime will become the default video player in Ubuntu 25.10, it’s much better than Totem which doesn’t even open videos for me lol.
In addition to the information requested by @valentin.david, can you please provide the contents of /sys/class/mei/mei0/fw_ver. I am aware that this check fails on the latest generation of Intel chipsets because of a recent change to the ME firmware.
Hi, that error is not expected - can you please provide the output of sudo tpm2_getcap properties-fixed? You will need to install the tpm2-tools package first. Thanks!
We’re working on providing the ability to resolve some errors from the installer UI, eg, errors that require clearing the TPM will be resolvable and it will be possible to ignore certain errors if the user is willing to accept the risks associated with those.
Hi, I have uploaded the details on the launchpad issue for the amd device. I’ll get the intel now for you by tonight (EST). I have currently enabled tpm backed fde via dracut but would love to help with anything for this snap backed TPM FDE to get working.

Hi Chris! I have posted the results for the intel device as well on launchpad. Let me know what else is needed.
The intel device is on Ubuntu 25.04 and snap backed TPM FDE was working perfectly on both the devices on 25.04 installation so this is a regression. (even though I went the dracut route to enable tpm on bath because I wanted upgrades between versions possible)
