-Bluetooth is disabled on settings and wont start
-No idea devices detected, no sound
-Nvidia open drivers someday for now not available (running Optimus system so iGPU is working)
-thumbnail image viewer missing
-timezone is set correctly, but wont respect the +hours so it wont add correct hours top of UTC
-missing secret-services some apps wont run (proton mail bridge) since missing key chain
-autostart wont work even i add snaps to /.config/autostart those never launch on boot/login
i think that is all what i have seen and issued nothing major some small stuff only and otherwise it feels good, cant wait to get more time on it
for me getting first audio, bluetotoh, secret service/keychain things working i am really happy already. What comes to others like Nvidia i can wait iGPU does now the heavy lifting and blender is --classic app so need to wait that too. as VScode filed request to package snap as not --classic to use it since it is mostly one editor that has really good remote and container workflow support
PowerD would be nice addition, but might be WIP still since now no power modes yet.
Still rocking good tho some apps dumped core, but nothing major…
i would like to start contribute for now to Ubuntu Core Desktop as testing and later on some code/development when i get more knowledge and skills
need to use nordvpn login --callback option since xdg-portal open dosent work so callback is good after you login to nordvpn and copy the link and use " link here "
I have bluetooth working now. Installer was way better and core desktop feels good. If only i get sound drivers so then i basically can get core desktop daily driving and start testing it on normal workflows.
Also huge bonus would be that missing keyring issue on proton mail bridge since it needs supported keyring/secret service that it can work then i get even emails working
same thing on Element desktop than proton mail bridge
phatle@ubuntu:~$ sudo snap connect element-desktop:password-manager-service
