Under the theme “Road to the Ubuntu Summit Extended”, the Ubuntu Africa Community came together for an engaging and productive session.
We shared exciting updates about the Ubuntu ecosystem, discussed ways to strengthen collaboration across the continent, and also planned and deliberated on the upcoming Ubuntu Summit Extended. The event will be a great opportunity to showcase Africa’s contributions, ideas, and innovations within the global Ubuntu family.
Special thanks to @joshado and Prince, who gave insightful updates on the latest Ubuntu release and shared practical steps on how we can adopt and leverage it for greater community impact.
The meeting was a reminder that Ubuntu is more than technology — it’s about people, collaboration, and building open source communities that create real impact. 
Our next Ubuntu Africa Community meeting will take place on October 2, 2025, at 3PM UTC.
