On systems with TPM FDE enabled you should instead use the snap setting I pointed out in the other thread:

snap set system system.kernel.dangerous-cmdline-append=”opt1=val1 opt2=val2”

I don’t think that works on a standard (TPM/FDE) installation, because it requires the model assertion to be “dangerous” as well. At least I seemed unable to make it work.
