The Ubuntu 25.10 Summit Extended (Uyo) was an incredible success! ![]()
Over 40 developers, students, and open-source enthusiasts gathered to celebrate the latest Ubuntu release — exploring its new features, sharing ideas, and strengthening the growing Ubuntu community in Nigeria.
The day featured inspiring sessions, including a powerful opening talk by Ekemini on the culture of open source, and an unforgettable moment from Emediong, a 9-year-old developer who shared his experience building on Ubuntu — a true testament to how open source inspires all generations.
Closing the event, njtheafrican walked us through Ubuntu 25.10’s latest improvements and how they empower both developers and everyday users.
Beyond the sessions, what truly stood out was the energy — curiosity, collaboration, and the Ubuntu spirit of “I am because we are.”
This event reminded us that Ubuntu is more than software — it’s a movement of people building and growing together.
