Ubuntu Version: 24.04 Desktop
Desktop Environment (if applicable): Gnome
Problem Description:
I am using Ubuntu-Desktop to setup a Klipper environment that are both deployed onto a Lenovo M920 i5 minipc. I noticed that Klipper keeps on crashing with the following message.
Klipper reports: SHUTDOWN
MCU ‘mcu’ shutdown: Timer too close
This often indicates the host computer is overloaded. Check
for other processes consuming excessive CPU time, high swap
usage, disk errors, overheating, unstable voltage, or
similar system problems on the host computer.
Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the
“FIRMWARE_RESTART” command to reset the firmware, reload the
config, and restart the host software.
Printer is shutdown
I had no problems with a Raspberry Pi4B running Klipper, nor did I experience any such failure. While I know its not fair to compare but my purpose was to use a more powered desktop compared to a Pi4B thinking that it would be a better upgrade.

What I’ve Tried:
I thought it may be a USB bottleneck somewhere so tried to stop a number of desktop running tasks but didn’t help. I removed all the usb devices accept the keyboard, mouse and a usb cable that goes to my 3d printer controller (Leviathan v1.2), that didn’t either.
Has anyone encountered this?
