Two handed keyboard on 14" laptop

Problem Description:
I just got a 14" laptop, Asus Vivobook s14 and installed Ubuntu 26.04.

And surprise, surprise, when I read my PDF-morning paper with a cup of coffee in my left hand the computer suddenly needs two hands. There are no keys for Pg-Up, Ctrl-Home etc. I have figured out most of these but I find the concept a bit to complicated.

Therefore I would like to change the behavior of certain keys. For example I would like two presses in rapid succession on the down key should be interpreted as Page-Down.

How can I accomplish this?

Yes there are: Fn↑. You can usually enable Fn-lock by pressing FnEsc.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner, because I’m using it all the the time. You can usually also just press Space to flip through pages in the forward direction. In some implementations, i.e. Firefox’s PDF reader, that actually goes forward on page minus two lines, which helps preserve the context — me likey, berry berry much. :grin:
The same in reverse is ShiftSpace, which you should be able to do with one hand, too.
