Ubuntu Version:
22.04
GNOME
Problem Description:
I am trying to set the networking sharing settings for a couple of folders.
Using nautilus, I navigate to the folder that I’d like to share. I access the right-click menu for that folder and configure sharing settings.
I’ve discovered that the folder is not shared.
When I go back to inspect the sharing settings again using nautilus, I discover that the settings have reverted to their default.
I have tried rebooting the machine and restarting the smb and nmb services.
This has no effect.
One other of many things to check is:
apt policy nautilus-share
Also check to see if it running, if not you might have to logout and back in.
apt depends nautilus-share

I’ve logged in and out multiple times. This makes no difference.
The output of ‘apt depends nautilus share’ is:
