LP #2078461 openssh — package openssh-server 1:9.6p1-3ubuntu13.5 failed to install/upgrade: installed…
Another user commented they have masked the service and then the upgrade fails - that is fair, and being worked on in LP #2109759. For the original report still incomplete, and I asked again for reproducible steps or at least the config files so we see what is wrong.
LP #2157991 mysql-8.0 — package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.46-0ubuntu0.24.04.3 failed to install/upgrade: ins…
The user has “cannot assign requested address” in the logs - so this is probably a configuration error. I provided a possible workaround, asked if the address exists on a valid interface, and marked incomplete.

Yet another LLM telling us that we are doing a good job with triages. Thanks LLM.
Proposed Migration
Finally we have a sane amount of packages, so I skimmed through them. Here are my findings:
ruby-rack 3.2.6-2
There is a failing test for ruby-sidekik - when running with the new ruby-rack, it makes ruby-actionpack uninstallable. That is rails. There is a new rails in proposed, so I retriggered the tests with proposed enabled.
nghttp2 1.69.0-1
nodejs failing on s390x. There is a new proposed version, re-triggered with all-proposed.
twisted 26.4.0-1
Seems to be breaking landscape-client on armhf and s390x - usuallly slow, but no obvious logs pointing to infra. The fact that it’s asynchronous makes me wonder if retries will solve it…
samba 2:4.23.6+dfsg-1ubuntu3
freedombox is holding it back. Seems a problem with the test itself, not related to samba at all. Interestingly, it fails to connect to localhost:443, so there is that thin smell of infra?
ca-certificates 20260601
pycurl is sad, and it seems unrelated to ca-certificates: the failure says A requested feature, protocol or option was not found built-in in this libcurl due to a build-time decision. This sounds like a good option for skiptest hinting.
iproute2 6.19.0-1ubuntu2
Blocked on the new rabbitmq-server dependency (only on riscv64 though?). initramfs-tools is infra related - slow s390x.
python-django 3:5.2.15-2
freedombox doing its job here, but other tests need to be investigated - as they seem related to python-django itself - there is a reproductible HMAC signature mismatch.
openssh 1:10.3p1-4ubuntu1
A couple infra problems, and the freedombox problem listed above.
requests 2.32.5+dfsg-1willsync1
Several infrastructure problems… python-meshio (failing everywhere) has a new version in the archive though, so I retriggered these.
ruby-json 2.19.9+dfsg-1
rubocop fails on i386 and I ask myself if we even care, and jekyll seems cache-related (so either unrelated to ruby-json and/or infra related)
FTBFSs
ppc64el fails due to the famous df bug, retriggered the build, now it’s fine.
arm64 unhappy - LTO related.
There is a failure related to a new version of ruby-minitest not shipping mocks. ruby-minitest itself FTBFS - and that would need to be solved before this one can be.
Badpkg due to rust dependencies. Last build was weeks ago, retriggered.
Retry-engineering set
Porbably infra related, not diving deeper for now. Re-runs may fix it, or we look better in the future. These are:
