There was a change in the bind9 configuration between version 1:9.18.39-0ubuntu0.24.04.5 (Noble) and 1:9.20.18-1ubuntu2.1 (Resolute). While upgrading, the reporter decided to keep their configuration, and it broke due to missing files referenced in /etc/bind/named.conf.
I closed this invalid, as it’s a configuration problem, but the conffile change is not part of any release notes (that I could find…) so I added a ubuntu-release-notes task and marked server-todo.
