LP #2050938 screen -ls displays incorrect dates and times for existing sessions
Seems like the bug is now Fix Committed in Debian, but I found nothing on salsa… In any case, landing it there will fix the bug for us. My 2c are that this alone would not be an SRU - maybe to be included in a future SRU.
LP #2153892 openipmi: System V script needs to be migrated to systemd service
Marked server-todo to match other similar bugs against server packages.
LP #2154050 chrony — Chrony ships wrong NTS cert (leaf instead of CA), breaking time sync on boot.
Seems a duplicate of LP #2152270; but it has more information on reproducing and which errors appear in the logs. I marked triage-discuss as I think this is an actual bug, but Andreas and Hector are in this before me so I’d like to know more.
LP #2154081 netplan.io — netplan.script crashed with PermissionError in nm_interfaces(): [Errno 13] Perm…
Seems netplan apply is being called here by a non-root user, and it’s getting permission denied errors. Not sure if the caller should be using root privileges (this is networking config anyway) or if we are missing some permission checks. Worth a deeper look, server-todo.
Old items
LP #2073349 apache2 — Please re-evaluate the libapache2-mod-* and their component placement
I see how this is a full roadmap item (:
We could (and should) revisit it in the future.
The reason it appears in triage is that someone complains about the removal of libapache2-mod-auth-pgsql. That happened in Debian, and the same user opened a bug there, so nothing to do.
LP #2145785 resource-agents — portblock does not work due to iptables changes
Hmmm this was already server-todo; assigned myself and marked Triaged.
LP #2100851 shtool — php8.3-dev dependencies should probably have ‘Muti-Arch: foreign’ tag
Low priority wishlist, backlog is honest. We won’t probably fix this, but there is no “probably wontfix” so, well.
LP #2128670 open-vm-tools — open-vm-tools-desktop doesn’t handle auto cursor capturing on Kubuntu
Ian Forbes says this has nothing to do with open-vm-tools and marked it invalid. So I marked it invalid for the other open-vm-tools task (Noble) too.
LP #2056372 exim4 — Enabling SPF checks with CHECK_RCPT_SPF doesn’t work
Still in the same state - fix is there, we need someone to validate it.
LP #2104373 netplan.io — [Bug] Failed ‘netplan set’ operation doesn’t return non-0 error (Netplan 1.1.1 …
The upstream PR is now superseded and has traction. Should be worked on soon, we just watch.
LP #2081755 nut — systemd-tmpfiles[949391]: /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/nut-common-tmpfiles.conf:8: Dupli…
Fixed, most probably not SRUable, sits on the backlog for good.
Set of nice netplan bugs
-
LP #2098093 netplan.io — Setting primary interface for a bond fails with netplan
-
LP #2126938 netplan.io — network daemon cannot change link-offloading settings
-
LP #2101860 netplan.io — Different networking behavior with 2nd IP on 2nd NIC
I wonder how to deal with these now… Bringing it to the team for discussion.
LP #2029431 libslirp — Provide static library in libslirp-dev
Although really unlikely to happen (this is there for years now, blocked, no intention to unblock), it doesn’t harm keeping it in the backlog. No action though.

Proposed Migration
With the autopkgtest situation right now there is little we can do here.
