so standard ubuntu has a TPM based encryption, is there a way to get that going on a Kubuntu (currently 24.04) install as well? bringing in the security center it just says it cant determine the status of the encryption.
I would kinda like to have a TPM for the unlock as a start rather than another password to deal with.
I get the same message in my install of Ubuntu 26.04. I have made sure that both TPM 2 and Clear TPM are enabled.
I am beginning to think that the message means that I do not have Trusted Platform Module Full Disk Encryption. Which I do not have.

I wonder if standard Ubuntu installs something extra. I mean very obviously you need a luks setup to begin with as that’s not easy to add later, but tbh tpm shouldn’t be that insane to add also of course it does some weird snap stuff lol
