Touchpad issues on Linux 7.0.0-28 on ThinkPad E490

Hello everybody, this is my first post here. I’m running Ubuntu 26.04 on a ThinkPad E490 and having some issues with my touchpad with the latest kernel release, 7.0.0-28. The tap-to-click is just sporadically working, most of the time not. Or I’ll have to tap 3 or 4 times for it to register 1 click. There was also an issue with 2 finger scrolling in Librewolf. It was often zooming in and out instead of scrolling. I’ve temporarily worked around this by setting apz.gtk.touchpad_pinch.enabled to False. I’m also most of the time just booting into 7.0.0-27, because the tap-to-click issue is so annoying.

I see from the changelog : - Input: synaptics - add LEN2058 to SMBus passlist for ThinkPad E490 and wondering if that’s what is causing it. I don’t know if it’s a bug with that patch or if I just need to update, change, or add some setting on my ThinkPad.
