This right place to ask Account Ubuntu One SSO / New place discourse

Hello all

Just logged in with my Ubuntu One SSO account and I don’t have old post or DMs.
Had a quick look about looks as all new looks more confusing were to post or were FAQ

Login details are the same as old account. This like a new account.
Thanks.

Your account shows up as a ‘new’ account; only a couple of hours old now.

As a community moderator I don’t see what credentials/username you used to login to Ubuntu One SSO, so I can’t explore there, and launchpad does not allow users to search via email address either.

You’ll have to provide more details on your login, and what account/username you expect to see here on Discourse, so we can explore, and possibly then help you.

Correct.
Ubuntu Discourse is not a carryover or migration from any other platform.
Nobody volunteered to do that work.

We did put the main categories right up front. Takes up half the page.
Including a link specifically for lost folks seeking help.
What more do you seek? We’re listening.

I see were to ask about OS not about website account.
when I logged in website filled in old password and User ID.

Not to worry.
Thanks

What you are asking if I am correct only the SSO people can answer you need to contact them. We do not administer SSO.

Thought this was the new site from ubuntuforums.org!

The old Ubuntu Forums was merged here with Ubuntu Discourse.

However, as mentioned previously things like posts, DMs, PMs etc. are not carried over.

It is a fresh start, a time for new opportunities and learning new things.

You can always ask us to rename your account to what it was back then.

Please don’t create duplicate accounts, simply ask us to rename for you and it will be done.

This site was originally called the Ubuntu Community Hub, and was created in 2017. This was not originally for support, but a support area has been added when Ubuntu Forums merged here as Rubi says which was only somewhat recently.

If you were a user of this site prior to Ubuntu Forums & support being added it; little changed (just a support area with additional traffic), but for Ubuntu Forums users, this in effect is a new site to them, but the site has existed for some years.
