I installed 26.04 in Boxes (with proposed GNOME 50) and…
What are these new ones? @3v1n0
I have been waiting to see what replies there would be to this topic. I have Ubuntu 26.04 development version installed. It is from an ISO image a few days old. I cannot find that control dialog. I have searched all over system settings. So, I wonder where you found it. I am assuming that you are using an ISO image newer than the one I used.
Actually, not all of those extensions are new. Ubuntu developers have been crafting Gnome extensions for some years. I have in mind Desktop icon NG. That is installed by default and it puts the Files Home folder on the desktop.
I am writing this on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. I look in /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions and I see folders for Ding; tiling-assistant; ubuntu-appindicators and ubuntu-dock.
So some of those extensions are new. Some are not new. What I think is new is the control panel. It gives the user greater control. Which may or may not be a good thing.

P.S. I found this through goggle AI regarding snapd permissions prompting:
Permissions prompting in Ubuntu (introduced experimentally in 24.10) is
a security feature that displays a popup dialog asking for user authorization when a confined Snap application tries to access files or resources outside its sandboxed environment, such as your home folder
. It enhances security by allowing you to manage app permissions via a new “Security Center” app.
Ubuntu 24.04 does not have the security center app. So, I have to go back on 26.04 to check up on this.
Essentially gnome-shell-extensions-prefs.
I know the classical Ubuntu extensions; here I’m talking about new snap-related ones and web search.
These extensions have Ubuntu git repositories.
Just speculating but I would assume snapd search provider is for being able to search the snap store in the overview (by pressing super), and permission prompting has been present since 25.10, although as of now only file permission work from what I’ve tested
New extensions are here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Community/Ubuntu
So, as far as I can see by quickly reading the code:
The last one, if I’m not mistaken, is for granting permission so an application can save a file or use the camera. It has been available since 24.10.
Not as an extension, afaik.
