I know canonical does not use flatpak, so i didnt do it, (n). What would happen if i did (y)? Would it destroy the system? Or my configuration?
I do not understand. What is it you did not do? In my opinion you have these options.
Do not use this application again.
Delete the application and install a version of the application that uses a Gnome runtime that is still supported.
Research the application Remembrance. What is it capable of doing? Is it capable of destroying the operating system? Or, your configuration?
Does this Flatpak application run sandboxed or confined?
I have just had a thought. Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS uses Gnome 46. Canonical will support Gnome 46 with security fixes until Ubuntu 24.04 itself reaches end of support life.
Are you thinking of removing Gnome 46? Yes, that will break the operating system.
Technical Impact:
Users running flatpak update on rolling-release distributions (like Arch Linux) are receiving persistent security warnings regarding the unsupported runtime. Since the application is pinned to branch 48, the runtime remains installed on the host system, occupying unnecessary disk space and triggering EOL notifications.
No. It is just information for you. That particular application that’s mentioned still uses the Gnome 48 runtime - the app has not yet been updated by the developer to the latest - Gnome 50.
Typing ‘y’ will just update all the Flatpaks apps as usual. Then you decide what to do about the app mentioned. If you use it, you must keep Gnome 48. The developer may at some point update it to work with Gnome 50 - then you can uninstall the unsupported Gnome 48 runtime. Note: some versions of Flatpak automatically uninstall unused runtimes, others don’t.

This is the app. This is a Flatpak runtime warning, not an Ubuntu problem. If i run flatpak update there is only the warning, no n y anymore. I guess i misinterpreted the y n it was the prompt for another flatpak app. I dont know, i guess i was confused.
