On 21 March 2026 04:55 UTC, Canonical detected partial outages on https://manpages.ubuntu.com and https://connectivity-check.ubuntu.com. The Ubuntu Desktop and the Ubuntu Desktop installer use the connectivity-check service to verify that there is an active internet connection. During the outage, some Ubuntu devices may have incorrectly reported that there was no internet connectivity, despite being online. Our team has investigated and initiated mitigations to the problem. The situation improved over the weekend. However, some users may have experienced service degradation on 23 March 2026. We continue to monitor the situation and will take further action as needed.
