Some app icons are like a gear when installed via Snap (Ubuntu 26.04)

Ubuntu Version:
26.04

Desktop Environment (if applicable):
GNOME

Problem Description:
Installed apps like Krita, Kdenlive and Digikam via Snap on the Ubuntu Store show up on the App list as a “gear” instead of the correct icon

Relevant System Information:
Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE , RX 550 4GB, 32GB DDR4, SSD 960GB

Screenshots or Error Messages:

What I’ve Tried:
Nothing, until now.

That is an issue for the maintainer of the snap packages of those applications. It could be that the snap packages have not been upgraded to work with Gnome 50.

If you run

snap list

You will see what versions of Gnome have been installed as snap packages by the installation of the application snap packages. You should be seeing the relevant icons.

These are all KDE apps, these 3 have the gear, but others like Okular and Gwenwiew (also KDE) have the correct icon
