Problem Description:
I’m having trouble logging into my account on forum.snapcraft.io . I know my username, email and password but I can’t get past the login screen because it’s asking for a verification code either a two-factor authentication (2FA) code or a backup code.
The issue is, I think I never set up 2FA or received any backup codes for the forum. I usually store my authentication codes safely in my device but I’ve checked my device and my Ubuntu One account and there’s no sign of 2FA being configured for the Snapcraft Forum. It only shows 2FA for snapcraft.io.
I tried using the “Forgot Password” option and got the reset email but after clicking the link, it still asks for a verification code which I don’t have.
So right now, I’m stuck. I have my email and password but no 2FA or backup codes and I don’t remember ever setting them up for the forum.
Is there any way to recover my account or reset the 2FA requirement?
