Problem Description:
If I run sudo smartctl -t long -d sat /dev/sda or run the equivalent self test in gsmartcontrol, it keeps aborting. I’ve tried workarounds like running “while true; do sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda > /dev/null; sleep 10; done” or “sudo watch -d–cumulative -n 10 smartctl -a /dev/sda” and this didn’t work.

What I’ve Tried:
I’ve tried workarounds like running “while true; do sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda > /dev/null; sleep 10; done” or “sudo watch -d–cumulative -n 10 smartctl -a /dev/sda” and this didn’t work.
