Should we expect Loupe 51 to land in Stonking?

Hi,

I noticed that Ubuntu 26.10 (Stonking Stingray) currently has Loupe 50.0-0ubuntu2, while upstream has since released Loupe 51.

Given that Stonking is targeting GNOME 51 components, should we expect Loupe 51 to land before the 26.10 release, or is Loupe 50 the intended version for this cycle?

Thanks!

From what I could find it is not confirmed. GNOME 51 as a desktop target do not guarantee every app will match its version (AFAIK). The archive currently has Loupe 50, and adding 51 now might require approval?

Rather key to releases is the schedule & in particular freeze dates.

https://documentation.ubuntu.com/release-notes/26.10/schedule/

Whilst exceptions can be made (ie. freeze exceptions as per docs), they should not be assumed; though other package formats (snap for example) may still be available.
