Share Ubuntu network drive on windows PC and mobile devices

Hi All

This is my first post on this forum. I used to post on Ubuntu Forum some years ago. I believe this is the new replacement forum.

My old Ubuntu PC does and I got another one yesterday, successfully installed Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS. Also, installed Samba for sharing files, folders and drives.

Desktop Environment
GNOME - Haven’t changed anything since installation, hence I believe it should be the default one

Problem Description :-
Cannot see the drivers in Windows PC and other mobile devices.

I remember creative a share and then upsetting the samba.conf file to make it visible but it all good lost when the died.

Can someone please help me set it up again so that it can be made visible on other drivers

Best regards

Deepak

Did you configure Samba after installing it as explained at the Ubuntu site below? The link discusses installing on 16.04 so I’m not sure if everything is still the same but since it is at the ubuntu site, I would expect it to be. What steps did you take to set it up? Did you use any online resource and if so, what?
