Service grub-btrfsd.service has stopped

Problem Description

I have setup Kubuntu to make snapshots with snapper and add every new snapshot to the list of grub entries from which I could boot. Since a week, this service simply stopped.
I will gladly give more information on this, but first wait to see if I get an answer at all. My last post on this topic somehow vanished in the swamp. I have never seen such an utter labyrinth at any linux community before as here with Ubuntu.

I was not able to locate another topic of yours on this subject here and this, in fact, appears to be your first post.

Might there have been a tech glitch and another post disappeared? Always a possibility but seems unlikely right now.

Let’s clarify a few things; firstly, users are welcome to bump their posts once every 24 hours if there has been no response.

As far as responses are concerned, let’s consider some of the following possibilities:

  • A user posts on the weekend when things tend to be more quiet here anyway
  • A user posts during a holiday period, see above for the first point
  • A user posts about a very specific usage case which not everybody might have an answer for

The community here is powered by volunteers, ordinary users like you and me.

Not everyone uses btrfs nor knows how to troubleshoot issues related to it or snapper.

That does not mean the topic is being ignored, it means nobody wants to jump in and start making off-topic less than helpful comments about something they know little or nothing about.

Again, let’s consider that the volunteers who do know something about this might not have seen the topic yet.

Be patient.

I am not sure what this is supposed to mean. The Ubuntu Discourse is one of the busiest, most active, and most knowledgeable tech sites around.

I suggest you tone down the rhetoric if you expect help here.

Thanks to Theseus, I tied my ball of thread at the entrance to the labyrinth and managed to find my way out.
During my exploration, I came across the Minotaur and he said
