Seems a little silly

I’ve meant to mention this for some time now. I think it’s a little silly that I have a battery indicator saying my battery is fully charged when my desktop doesn’t HAVE a battery at all… unless it is somehow monitoring the CMOS battery?

https://github.com/ai/autohide-battery if you find it silly.

Thanks. I tried it, but it doesn’t seem to do anything… Restarted GNOME, logged out and back in… no change, still shows the battery indicator in the top panel.

AFAIK the power back-end also monitors batteries of keyboards and mice … perhaps it shows you the status of one of your peripherals ?

Neither of those are powered by a battery, both are plugged into the computer.
