Security Center on shows “Encryption settings not available” on latest/edge

Hi,

I’m running Ubuntu 26.04 (proposed) and using Ubuntu Security Center (latest/edge).

In the Disk Encryption section, I see the message:
“Encryption settings not available. Failed to retrieve status of this computer.”

Is this expected behavior if disk encryption is not enabled, or is this a known issue with the edge version?

I am using the version 26.04 LTS, having the same problem and I can not find a solution different from to reinstall Ubuntu, which I do not wanto to do.

It is my assumption that if Trusted Platform Module Full Disk Encryption is not set up then the Security Center has nothing to record.

It would be useful if someone using Ubuntu 26.04 with TPM FDE set up could report what Security Center is showing for them.

I also believe that this utility is still classed as experimental.
