Samba Installed but no Fileshare menu

Ubuntu Support Template

Ubuntu Version:
Example: 24.04 LTS

Desktop Environment (if applicable):
GNOME

Problem Description:
Please see the screenshot. With Samba installed, I have no option, when I right click a folder to share it. What could I be missing? I’ve looked but am unable to find anything on this particular issue. All of the docs say of Samba is installed, you’re good to go.

Do you have nautilus-share package installed?

If not, install it:

sudo apt install nautilus-share

Restart nautilus:

nautilus -q

And see if it helped.
