I am genuinely happy to support @saileshsingh36 application for Ubuntu Membership.

I worked closely with Singh during UbuCon Asia 2025 at St. Xaviers, where he was serving as Co lead. The way he handled everything stood out immediately.

He managed the team, external partners and attendees with an controlled energy. Nothing felt chaotic around he even when things should have been chaotic. That kind of leadership is not common. I learned a lot by observing how he operates.

One moment that really stuck with me was a meeting with a company for an open source demo. He explained the vision behind UbuCon and Ubuntu ecosystem clearly. He did not just explain it technically. Also in a way that made sense from a real-world and professional standpoint. He has the ability to bridge open-source ideals, with execution, which is rare.

He is not just contributing to the Ubuntu community he is actively shaping the Ubuntu Nepal community. he is a mentor, a dependable lead and someone people naturally look up to.

@saileshsingh36 definitely deserves the orange glow.:raising_hands:

I haven’t had the chance to collaborate directly with Sailesh in the UbuCon Asia team, but I attended UbuCon Asia 2025 and had a very positive experience at the event.

It was clear that a lot of effort and coordination went into making the event well-organized and enjoyable for participants.

Seeing strong endorsements from other organizers and contributors, I believe he will continue to make valuable contributions to the Ubuntu community

Nice, hope i’m not late yet for the testimonials

I’d basically vouch him for the membership application. Along with Aaditya, he was one of the most capable and proactive UbuCon Asia local team leaders i’ve met so far. His contribution on leading Ubuntu Nepal is also exceptional.

I’m now working with him in the UbuCon Asia Committee, and he’s been quite helpful this year with his many contributions on blog posting, marketing, publishing meeting notes and more. It helped me preparing event this year with less burden.

Good luck, hope you pass the interview
