Hello, I am new here. I installed 26.04 Resolute over the weekend and want to give some feedback. So far I haven’t experienced any issues except during installation.
With Ubuntu 24.04 I had a similar issue with an existing `/boot/efi` partition. The installation finished successfully, but upon reboot , it appears that no boot loader is installed. The solution was to delete the existing boot partition and let the installer recreate a new one.
This time I experienced a complication, the only FS option the installer offered for a boot partition is VFAT. The installer does not accept that and creates it’s own 1.13MB FAT32 (IIRC) boot partition. I had to delete the existing contiguous boot and swap partitions, create a 1MB VFAT partition and let the installer create it’s own 1.13MB boot partition. I then deleted the VFAT partition and used the remaining space on the disk to recreate a swap partition.
I’m not sure if this a bug or my ignorance, but hope the post help someone with the same issue.
Regards.
