Question about updating firmware with fwupdmgr

Problems with HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2:
After the latest firmware update (v1.1.24.0) I can no longer use my second monitor (Monitor name: LEN-27IKL-A / Serial No: LM270WQ4SSB3) with its full WQHD resolution of 2560x1440. It seems to me that the docking station somehow no longer recognizes it properly. Full story.

question:
It seems to me that all firmware updates were executed while running Windows (dual boot config). It says No releases found.
Do I understand this correctly?

When posting questions on the Support and Help section; the guidelines say to clearly outline what Ubuntu product & release you’re using. Refer back to Welcome To Support And Help

You’ve erased or ignored the template we provide, and haven’t thus included details that match how this Support and Help section work. Providing a link to another site for us to go and research details ourselves isn’t ideal; you’re the one seeking help, so why not use the template & format as this site requests; providing requested information.

Well, there is this in your output…

  │ Update State: Failed
│ Update Error: failed to read row data: attempted to read 0x3fc0 bytes at offset 0x7fc3c1 from buffer of 0x800000

…which may suggest a bad flash occurred. Or a hardware fault.
