Problems with volume control after upgrade to 24.10

I have recently upgraded to 24.10 from 2.04. My volume control was previously set with Solaar gesture right and left, which still worked after the upgrade. But I decided to change that to using the side buttons on my Logitech Lift mouse rather than gestures.

First problem: After deleting the gesture settings in Solaar my problems started, I allocated the commands “XF86_AudioRaiseVolume” and “XF86_AudioLowerVolume” to the two side buttons but when I click the up volume button I get the warning

FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden: ‘XF86_AudioRaiseVolume’

and the same with the down volume button.

Second problem: Until I sort this out I figured I’d use the old method of volume control, but that didn’t work either so I went to (sorry my system is German so the transtations may be a bit off) Settings-Keyboard-Shortcuts-Sound and Media and reset the volume up and down combinations. This worked until the next re-boot, when it stopped working until recconfiguring the keys again

Hello,
I’m sorry understand XF86AudioRaiseVolume and XF86_AudioLowerVolume is not commands if you can reponse better, maybe the error, I used xdotool to simulate key press.
Install
# apt install xdotool
And use simple.
Example:
xdotool key XF86AudioRaiseVolume…

About second questions, I used to plasma, and worked for me even after upgrade. My opinion, fresh install always done.
