Ubuntu Version: 24.04.3 with GNOME

Printing and scanning on a network connected (wire connection) HP laser jet MFP M234dw worked straight away after a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04.3 last week – very pleased.

But today no printing or scanning would work. Struggled for an hour. Even failed to work with a direct USB connection.

The simple fix was turning the router off and then back on again. This was despite the router continuing to otherwise work normally.

Just putting this here in case it works for someone.

Really enjoying 24.04.3 Previously used 20.04. Been using Ubuntu for over 10 years.

Thanks for sharing.

Routers sometimes get a bit of a bug in them. I find that rebooting the router helps when one of my home assistant devices stops being able to connect to the internet.

Got similar behaviour last couple of weeks. Will look at the router when I go home.
