Print an envelope on Canon G2010 printer

I want to print an envelope to send a letter to the U.S. I’ve followed the instructions from Libre Writer and several (many) web sites. In Format tab I select DL envelope, because that’s the closest to the envelopes I actually have, 235 mm x 108 mm. However, when I go to print, the inserted envelope is 6.19” wide! And it actually starts printing about 2.5 inches from the edge of the envelope. I’ve had these problems before, but last year I finally stumbled on the way to do it. I think this problem is unique to Canon printers and Writer, but what do I know? Can anyone help"?

This happens because the Canon printer driver overrides LibreOffice’s envelope size, causing incorrect scaling and offsets. To fix it, set the envelope size directly in the Canon printer properties when printing (custom size: 235*108 mm), choose Envelope as the paper type, and disable all scaling or “fit to page” options. Make sure LibreOffice’s page style uses the same size. Feed the envelope from the rear tray. If it still misprints, use the A4 workaround (set both writer printers to A4 and position the envelope manually).
