Ubuntu Version:
26.04
Desktop Environment (if applicable):
GNOME 50
Problem Description:
After updating to 26.04, I can not switch power modes in the Quick Settings. Well, it did work ONE time, when setting to “Performance” but after that, I could not switch to “Balanced” or “Power Saver” and trying to set Power mode in Settings is the same thing.
running
sudo powerprofilesctl set balanced
works as a workaround but this does not fix the issue in Quick Settings.
This worked fine in 25.10..
What I’ve Tried:
- Reboot
- Clear .cache folder
Edit: This seems to “break” when logging in remotely. Stopping the remote session and rebooting the system fixes the issue. However, is this a bug or is this by design?
