Can anyone please explain?

My post was
If you add an SSH key to each server for an account, then you can use a central server to run the apt commands to run updates from a central location using an Ansible playbook. Something to consider. The SSH key will allow you to authenticate without a password.
Seems on topic to me…
The original topic was asking about how to keep a regular desktop install updated.
Posting about servers and Ansible, which many users may not even be familiar with, without clear step-by-step instructions was deemed to be off-topic for that particular discussion.
You are welcome to post there again if the answers are directly relevant to the topic.
Thanks
Agreed.
I, too, question the relevance of introducing Ansible, etc. in the OP’s very simple question about updates to a single non-enterprise install.
Confusing a new user is not cool. I expect better from Ubuntu Members.
Was under the impression that it was multiple systems where Ansible shines. If it’s one system then the deletion is understood. ![]()
