Plasma 6.6 looks to drop very close to the package freeze. Is there a measure of possibility that it will make it in?
From what I know: Yes, the plan is for 26.04 to ship with Plasma 6.6.

Is that still the case? I just saw that Ubuntu is in feature freeze, but the package repo still shows it has Plasma 6.5.5.
I hope Kubuntu 26.04 does get 6.6

I’d love to know as well. For what it’s worth, though, Ubuntu will still be using kernel 7.0 even though it is currently 6.19, so they can and do make exceptions.
But yeah, really hope 6.6 makes it. Some good solid improvements there.
6.6 would be nice to have. Does anyone know to see what planned package versions are to be included in future versions of Kubuntu? I’ve wondered about this in the past, and would like to know.
Any qualified word on this here? If not where would one go? I didn’t see anything on the Kubuntu forums about it.
Since the feature freeze is in place i don’t think they’ll ship KDE Plasma 6.6 and stick to 6.5.5.
hopefully not. They just shipped Plasma keyboard as well in 6.6.

Plasma 6.6 is currently in the process of being packaged for Resolute. My guess would be that it will appear in the archive within the next 1-2 weeks.

Seems the migration of Plasma 6.6.1 from resolute-proposed to resolute is now completed, and I could run it succesfully on my test installation of 26.04. There may be some rough edges yet, though.
Testing is very much appreciated, you can report bugs using the ubuntu-bug command, or join the Kubuntu Development matrix channel to reach out and give feedback.
