Ubuntu 10.10 if I recall correctly; with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS being the third release I actually installed (having finally learnt the significance of LTS I went and had a look at it for a server install)

My 1st: kubuntu 9.04.

I started with 6.04.

Indeed it was 6.06 a very long time ago.

7.10 was the first proper install for me.

7.10 but my fav was 8.04 (LTS).

6.10 Edgy Eft (I doubted with 6.06 Dapper LTS but then I decided to go for the 6 months versions and ever since)

Technically, my first Ubuntu was Focal in 2021, but Iā€™d later use a specific version of Bionic Beaver for my research in grad school three years later.
