Persistent Livepatch Error/Ubuntu Pro Issue

I’m experiencing a recurring issue with live-patch on my Ubuntu system:

  1. Upon login, I receive an error message related to live-patch.

  2. A red dot appears on the live-patch shield in the top-right corner.

  3. When accessing live-patch settings through Software & Updates:

  4. It redirects to the Ubuntu Pro page.

  5. The kernel live-patch setting is off.

Attempting to toggle it on results in it turning off after a few seconds.

Questions:

  1. Should the kernel live-patch setting be on or off by default?

  2. Why does the setting keep reverting to off when I try to enable it?

Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

I’d suggest actually filing a bug report to get answers from the livepatch maintainers/developers here:
