Is he is new? I thought he just seeking suggestions for PDF editing software available in Linux. Even though I’ve used Linux for many years, I’m not aware of all options nowdays for using native linux apps to edit PDF’s especially since my solution has made it unnecessary to seek others.

How does one go from being a novice linux user to an advanced linux user? Experience. You’re gonna embrace the hackery at some point. You’ll have no choice if you want something to work, but it doesn’t under ordinary use and circumstances.

But this isn’t hackery at all. It’s just a matter of knowledge of knowing where to find stuff and someone who’s around to helpfully supply that knowledge. Usually by someone who had same question at one time in their learning journey and found an answer either on their own, or was helped by someone who also had the question…etc., etc., etc.

The packages are listed in the order they should be installed. You could download them to a directory and do them all at once, but as mentioned earlier, paperwork-backend pulls in a lot of recommends packages that most users probably don’t want, so I’d recommend using “–no-install-recommends” option with it.

Flatpak? Isn’t that heresy?
