Hey Boys, Hey Girls!

I’m not gonna even try to put some official kinda job application style form here!
We are CommUNITy, so it’s all about collaboration and making things better for US, and hopefully for some happy people which are stuck and looking for some guidance!
Just letting YOU all know, that I’m here to support and share my experience and some of the Basic knowledge!

… You probably gonna ask… Who are you? …

Well my name is Paul (as you probably have guessed by now).. And I’m an OldBoy which has fallen in love to the Unix Based systems from the Day 1, and Happy Ever After :slight_smile:

As far as I remember my first distro was Red Hat Linux 5.1 or 5.2 which Installation CD was kindly attached to the PC Magazine announcing the World that a free alternative to Win0$ is coming up to it’s strength. In addition it’s comes with thousands of free packages and tools?? Really! There was no other way than try it!

Well… At that time GNOME v1 and KDE v1 were about to launch, so GUI was pretty basic and to get some graphical “apps” running, or even setup drivers right it was tough task - Just a little blast from the past for our Young Generation, to realize how much of the Community Effort has been put together, to have a privilege of OS which does work out of the box, and it’s well supported!
In fact I would say it has best support on the planet - Shout out to all Team here! - Thank you!

… Now we’ve got a little history out of the way … Let’s mention about Today and Tomorrow …

So at the minute i do work (surprise… surprise) as a Senior DevOPS Engineer / Cloud Solutions Architect or whatever you will call it :slight_smile: … Basically building / destroying / resolving issues and having fun in this “white letters on the black background” screen typing some magic spells which nobody except me is able to understand (… well at least most of the crowd …)

Joined here just mainly to support the young generation with some good old school practices, making sure that actually there will be someone to step in our place when Skynet’s gonna take over! :slight_smile:
