Number keys are not working under the f keys and number lock keys

Problem Description

out of nowhere my numbers under where f keys are and the numbers under the numlock keys have abruptly stopped working but then it fixes itself then it messes up again, also when it does act up the numbers on the keybaord won’t register on ubuntu straight away like for example if i hold down the number 7 key under where the f keys are it will work but then not work at the same time like it just wont constantly show up. even my right arrow key won’t work at times but then it will work then not work again

my laptop is a HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fb2004na (A2DD3EA)
Specs: AMD Ryzen™ 5 8645HS w/ Radeon™ 760M Graphics × 12, Nvidia rtx 2050, 8gb of ram and 512.1 GB SSD

What I’ve Tried

i’ve turned off mouse keys, slow keys and bounce keys every other setting is already off by default but the things the numbers would the abruptly work again and then like so many hours later it would not work again.
also just to mention my laptop is only a year old

You are not alone, on 3rd September, ubuntu 26.04. Very puzzling. In general, on number games pages, numbers 1 to 6 move the web page and don’t enter the number, 789 work OK. In documents, search terms and so on, numbers work OK.
