My idea is like this

Moved to Lounge as the more appropriate place.

You will need to explain yourself.

There is not enough information here for users to understand the purpose of this post.

Thanks

I’m very sorry. I will delete your comment.

Excuse me?

What is the purpose of this topic?

You posted 2 screenshots from what appears to be a Google AI search but you need to explain to people what you want to discuss here.

Thanks

Please use Linux to create robust systems for public institutions. To achieve this, I would like you to create a mode that allows Ubuntu to be used not only as a GUI, but also as a CUI. The two photos above are documents I created with Google Gemini Pro. Japan’s medical institutions and nursing homes are short-staffed and need innovative systems. Thank you in advance for your help.

Linux is already robust. It’s already used in many public institutions, including a number of government organisations throughout the world.

Linux already supports what you call CUI — it is the base of Linux. Any GUI runs on top of that.

What you are asking for already exists, and has done for decades.

Thank you for your reply. Ubuntu is still not well known in the Japanese PC market, and Linux is currently used in embedded systems. Some users, including those using Ubuntu, are involved in promotional activities on YouTube. I believe the challenges facing Linux going forward are extending the lifespan of devices and minimizing power consumption. By mastering these two areas, I believe it will be possible to sell Linux as more cost-effective than other operating systems, making it easier to market.

That is true, and has been true for quite a long time.

Sorry, I don’t know what your point is?

Yes, that is very much so, and Linux has been addressing these for a long time.

I don’t really understand what you are saying in your posts. You seem to be asking Canonical to do what Linux has already been doing for decades. Nothing that you have proposed is new.

@morichan-ramen It’s very easy to come up with ideas. We all have them, on a daily basis. It’s not actually super useful to turn up to a community and paste your idea (AI generated or not).

Create a prototype, a design, something we can see, and play with.

Arriving with an idea and expecting everyone else to build it, is very much not the open source way.

Ideas are worthless. Action is what matters. Please, consider fleshing out the idea into something more than just a google doc.
