I am glad I am not alone. I have done a lot of searching on AskUbuntu for several years. Stack exchange’s search engine seems to throw in a kitchen sink of OS’s and Apps in answers in my experience. For me this discourse.ubuntu.com has been a best kept secret. Just looking at it for the first time I like the official flavor limitation, topic divisions, and especially the what should be included up front list, a great help I can see for getting to the information for which I am looking. Just what Stackexchange lacks. As an experienced tech writer I agree that replacing ask-ubuntu with ‘help and support connecting especially new users, to discourse is an excellent idea.
