LXD UI: send clipboard content to a graphic console

Hello,

Is it possible to send local clipboard content to a graphic console accessed in the LXD UI?

I’m trying to do this from a local Ubuntu desktop to a remote Ubuntu Desktop hosted in a VM in the LXD server. The use case is about copying username and password to access a service from the remote Ubuntu Desktop.

Before opening a feature request I just wanted to check here if this functionality is available and if so if it depends on the local/remote guest OS. I see the “Shortcuts” menu but don’t see Ctrl+V.

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we introduced a clipboard sync in LXD 6.7. The shortcuts Ctrl+V and Ctrl+C should work normally when switching between a guest and host OS.

If you are running a newer version such as 5.21, then you can update with snap refresh lxd --channel=6/stable to the latest feature track that ships with clipaboard sync.
