What is the purpose of this website.
Everything Ubuntu and Ubuntu flavors are directed to the Ubuntu Community.
Thanks.
The first site you mention I personally see the the Lubuntu website; it’s controlled by the Lubuntu team; as it’s ours - https://lubuntu.me/ If there is a problem with it, we (the Lubuntu team) fix it.
This site is the Ubuntu Discourse, and primarily covers all Ubuntu projects. Whilst it includes the Ubuntu flavors who use it to varying degrees with some having their own discourses (eg. Ubuntu Budgie) and others that did have their own have moved here (including Lubuntu, but also Ubuntu MATE), this site has a very broad audience.
The first site primarily provides Lubuntu information & details; where if we used this site it’d somewhat get ‘drowned’ out’ by all the other noise, and Ubuntu’s main & other products.
That’s how I see it anyway.

That makes sense and I was just curious as I know websites cost money to keep online and maintained.
I agree every Ubuntu flavor on one website could become quite confusing.
I really miss the Lubuntu forum though.
Thanks for the reply.

I’ll provide a clarification to my prior response.
If you do a whois lubuntu.me you’ll notice the following
Registrant Organization: Canonical, Ltd.
Registrant Street: REDACTED
Registrant City: REDACTED
Registrant State/Province: Isle of Man
as Canonical pay & do control the DNS, we create tickets with them when we need changes there. We provide our own site though, which is paid for by donations where that link says
Lubuntu relies on your donations to keep infrastructure running, trips to conferences possible, and to drive projects within Lubuntu to make it the best it can be.
( there are reasons for this DNS control; the lubuntu[.net] mess for example comes to mind )
You’re likely not alone there, and I see that sentiment expressed somewhat regularly especially in regards the more recent shutdown of Ubuntu MATE’s discourse.
Our world doesn’t sit still though, it keeps evolving.
