Have another way to install driver 470 using nvidia binary driver and patches for kernel new versions from here https://gist.github.com/joanbm

I have used and works with kernel more recent versions !

Just wanted to say to the OP, thanks for this thread. I’m currently running the Studio LTS beta on a GTX 1050 based laptop. Runs great in Wayland… but the Xwayland layer doesn’t work for some of the older apps I still use, though it’s fine when it does work.

May end up going back to Lubuntu. I have used it before with ubuntustudio-installer so I can get my multimedia fix, but in a faster DE (again… KDE Plasma is nice though, probably one of the better optimized big DEs, but my PC isn’t new anymore :))
